I do have one pic to post. It's a Happy Birthday card I made this weekend for Ellie's little BFF. These two girls are like peas & carrots, always together... Alex turned 10 this week so I thought she deserved her first Tilda card.
I hope that those in my Magnolia-Licious group will stop by and take some time to offer some constructive criticism to method, looks etc. I know that I'm a new card maker and new to Copics but it's a learning process but one I really enjoy.

Hi Peg,
ReplyDeleteYou have done a great job on your blog. Congratulations. It can be hard to get started but once you do there is nothing stopping you and it is so much fun.
I love your birthday card. You have done a great job on the coloring. The only thing I can suggest is to get the best possible clear photo of your card that you can. It is a shame when you spend so much time on making a beautiful card and then the photo isn't as clear as it could be. I found this to be my hardest thing and tried all sorts of things until I was reasonably happy with how it looked. I still need lots of improvement but will get there with trial and error. Your daughters friend Ellie will love this card. Smashing job.
Hugs Marion

Hi Peg, I love the Birthday card and the colors you used. So bright and cheerful. I'm sure the little girl will love it and keep it forever! You asked for suggestions....so I will humbly suggest maybe tilting that bottom butterfly a little to the right so they are not both headed to the same place, and perhaps folding up the wings a bit. They look like they may be chipboard butterflies, so bending may be a little difficult. I know they get squished back down when you close the card for presentation, but can easily be pinched back up. Overall, you did a great job with coloring and design. Linda S. in NE
ReplyDeletePeg,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new blog! I have just become a follower. Your card is lovely and I'm sure that Alex will love it. I love all of the little details - the designer paper, the butterflies, and the wonderful flowers. You've done a great job! I look forward to seeing your future creations.
Hugs,
Lauren
Hi Peg...your blog is so pretty. Congratulations. I struggled when I started mine...I was on the phone long distance to my daughter-in-law all day...she had to literally walk me through the whole set up!! Your first card is so pretty too. I have this image too, but haven't yet inked her up. She makes a perfect birthday card! Pat Frank
