First Post

Hello!! Happy Sunday to you all! Well after a few weeks of trying to get this blog online I finally feel like it's "presentable."    There is still some work to be done but it'll get there.... I hope... I'll work on it when I have time... The main goal here is to have a place to post pictures of the cards I finish... guess that means I better be finishing some cards huh?

I do have one pic to post. It's a Happy Birthday card I made this weekend for Ellie's little BFF. These two girls are like peas & carrots, always together... Alex turned 10 this week so I thought she deserved her first Tilda card.

I hope that those in my Magnolia-Licious group will stop by and take some time to offer some constructive criticism to method, looks etc. I know that I'm a new card maker and new to Copics but it's a learning process but one I really enjoy.

If you're here, taking a peek, please leave a note!

  1. Well, you're up and running and have dome a smashing job getting your blog going@ Well's cute as a button! Your Tilda is adorable, and very suitable for a 10 year old. My goodness, what age isnt' suitable for these wonderfule images? Love the bright summer colors and the cool caribbean look to the card!

  2. Welcome to the blogosphere! Your blog is very nicely set up; congrats! Yay, I am your first Follower! Love your card, the colours are very pretty together. I am sure the lucky girl is going to love it!

  4. Hi Peg,
You have done a great job on your blog. Congratulations. It can be hard to get started but once you do there is nothing stopping you and it is so much fun.
I love your birthday card. You have done a great job on the coloring. The only thing I can suggest is to get the best possible clear photo of your card that you can. It is a shame when you spend so much time on making a beautiful card and then the photo isn't as clear as it could be. I found this to be my hardest thing and tried all sorts of things until I was reasonably happy with how it looked. I still need lots of improvement but will get there with trial and error. Your daughters friend Ellie will love this card. Smashing job.
    Hugs Marion

  5. Hi Peg, great to see you in blogland :) Your card is very sweet, the flowers are lovely and your coloring as looks fab. I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

  6. Hi Peg, I love the Birthday card and the colors you used. So bright and cheerful. I'm sure the little girl will love it and keep it forever! You asked for I will humbly suggest maybe tilting that bottom butterfly a little to the right so they are not both headed to the same place, and perhaps folding up the wings a bit. They look like they may be chipboard butterflies, so bending may be a little difficult. I know they get squished back down when you close the card for presentation, but can easily be pinched back up. Overall, you did a great job with coloring and design. Linda S. in NE

  7. Peg,

Congratulations on your new blog! I have just become a follower. Your card is lovely and I'm sure that Alex will love it. I love all of the little details - the designer paper, the butterflies, and the wonderful flowers. You've done a great job! I look forward to seeing your future creations.

  8. Hi Peg...your blog is so pretty. Congratulations. I struggled when I started mine...I was on the phone long distance to my daughter-in-law all day...she had to literally walk me through the whole set up!! Your first card is so pretty too. I have this image too, but haven't yet inked her up. She makes a perfect birthday card! Pat Frank
